Welcome to YOUr-RAD

YOUR-RAD is your personal radiologist.  We provide you with direct access to a radiologist so you have peace of mind about your health.  The radiologist at YOUR-RAD will re-interpret your studies and issue a new detailed report containing significant images for your physician.  More importantly, we will also  issue you a patient's report written in lay terms with labeled images. YOUR-RAD is proud to be the only radiology consultation service that issues reports specifically written for the patient. Our philosophy is that it is your health, your body and your report. We believe that you should not have to depend on your doctor to tell you what the radiologist saw and found.

Radiology plays an extremely important role in your healthcare. It is not an exaggeration to say that radiologic examinations, and more importantly, the radiologist's report drive the management of many patient's illnesses. The radiology report is crucial because it provides a large amount of information for all the doctors involved in your care. A good radiology report diagnoses the disease, describes the extend of disease, describes the anatomy, discovers other incidental findings which may be too early in their course to cause symptoms, recommends further imaging studies or follow-up, and ,sometimes, guides invasive procedures such as tissue biopsies.

This is precisely why a second opinion is so important. Anyone who is sick and has had an imaging study should seek out a second opinion. This is true for cases where the radiology report was positive and negative. The reason being is that significant findings may have been overlooked in negative reports. Alternatively, findings may have been misdiagnosed in positive reports. Unfortunately, obtaining a second opinion from a radiologist is not that easy. You typically cannot just walk into a local imaging center with a CD and ask to have the radiologist re-read it. This is where we come in. We will not only read your studies and provide you with a physician's and patient's radiology reports, but we can also personally consult with you over the phone/internet regarding your radiologic examinations.

So, if you have had medical imaging and are in a situation where a decision needs to be made regarding medical treatment, radiation treatments, or surgery please consider obtaining a second opinion. And you've already decided that you want a second opinion please register and allow us to help.
